In 2015, Trainfest introduced the Celebrate-a-Railroad program. As part of the program, they display a
spectacular museum quality, 32-panel, display on the featured railroad and the exhibiting model railroads
run the designated railroad. Manufacturers and hobby shops sell special commemorative railroad merchandise too.
This year the featured railroad is the CB&Q. We have been hard at work this year combing the archives
and personal collections for display materials and the history on the 2019 featured railroad. The display
is being sponsored by the BNSF Foundation.
The show is located at the Wisconsin State Fair Grounds at:
8200 W. Greenfield Avenue West Allis, WI 53214.
Here's where we need help from the members. We will be staffing the booth with at no less than
five (5) persons daily in two (2) hour time slots, asking that you sign up for at least two – two (2) hour slots if
you are able. You may split up the two hour slots if you choose. We want to stress is that we need as many volunteers
as possible. Even if your name may not show up on a particular time slot, your presence will always be
appreciated. Using the sign-up sheet, we want to make sure we have a minimum number of commitments from 5
members at all times. Any additional volunteers will be welcomed.
The show is November 9th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the 10th from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. This is a unique and awesome opportunity
for our Society and a chance to grow our membership, but it cannot be done without your help!
Please Sign_Up now to volunteer at Trainfest.
BRHS Secretary Bill Jelinek has volunteered to coordinate the sign-up process and will assist in
