As the situation around novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, we recognize that many of you have reached out and expressed concerns or hesitations about attending the Spring 2020 Meet in Denver, Colorado.

We have been closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), federal and local government guidance along with the World Health Organization’s statements regarding COVID-19 cases and following guidelines from these agencies.  The changes to the spread of coronavirus are growing daily; crowd spreading & closed spaces are big factors for the spread of the virus.  We recognize that the age of many of our members fall squarely into the high-risk exposure group according to the CDC.

Representatives from both society’s boards held conference call the evening of 03/16/2020 and based on the latest information from the CDC  here  it was agreed unanimously that, given the current circumstances,  we are no longer confident that holding the meet is without risk to our attendees.  Accordingly, we felt it is better to be pro-active than reactive during these challenging times and proceed with canceling the event.

Online registrations have been removed from both websites and starting on April 1st, 2020 we will begin refunding the money collected from those who have registered for the meet.

  • If you registered online and paid through PayPal you will be getting a refund from the RGM&HS via PayPal.  You will receive an e-mail notice that a refund (credit) has been applied to your PayPal, debit or credit account.
  • If you mailed in your registration, including a payment, we will be returning your check to you by mail.
  • If mail-in reservations are received after April 1st, they will be returned within three business days after their receipt by the registrar.

If you already booked a hotel room from our room block with the Marriott you may can contact Marriott directly and proceed with canceling your reservation. If anyone should choose to keep their reservation at the Marriott for a planned vacation, the convention rate will be honored.  Please call Nicole Papes at 303-273-4025 to finalize your plans.
