The CB&Q Photo Collection in Flickr has been operating for about 10 years collecting images of all things Burlington.  There are currently nearly 49,000 images in the Collection. All BRHS members have free access to the Collection via the Members Page on the BRHS web site.

Last year, the four operators of the Collection allowed the BRHS to copy the images and include them on the web site. Most, but not all, were copied across. The biggest difference between the two displays is that the Flickr Collection is sorted into albums in alphabetical or numeric order so that you can easily browse through the images. 

This is particularly useful if you are looking for modeling or weathering detail, or an image taken from a particular view point. Since the images were copied by the BRHS, several thousand additional images have been added to the Collection.  

Sadly, Bill Barber who was the joint originator of the Collection recently passed away. The remaining operators are therefore seeking a volunteer BRHS member to join the team and take over Bill’s work. This involves uploading images to the Flickr web site as well as including your own if you wish, allocating the images to the appropriate album and then sorting them within the album.
