BRHS Archives Work Schedule Update
We have scheduled the following dates for work sessions at the Baraboo, WI facility: June 21 and 22, July 13, August 16, September 14, September 20, October 5 and November 10.
June 21 and June 22 will be a multi-day work session. However, if you wish to attend only one of the two days, please feel free to do so.
Please let us know at archives@burlingtonroute.org prior to any of the work sessions if you will be attending.
We have arranged special rates at the Spinning Wheel Motel in Baraboo for BRHS members who are interested to stay overnight. This is not only for the June 21-22 work session, but others in the remainder of the year. We have arranged for the following nights: June 21 and June 22, July 12 and July 13, August 16, September 13 and September 14, September 20, October 4 and October 5 and November 9.
Room rates will be $50 + Tax for a Single Queen Bed and $60 + Tax for Two Double Full-Size Beds.
Contact the Spinning Wheel Motel at 608-356-3933 for a reservation. Mention the Burlington Route Historical Society associated with the Lake States Railway Historical Society. The Spinning Wheel Motel is located at 809 8th Street (WI Route 33), Baraboo WI 53913. It’s 1.3 miles from the Archives building.
Working times are 11 AM to 5 PM. We do not have a scheduled lunch break. Feel free to bring a snack or a lunch. There is a break area for eating. Also, you may wish to bring a sweater or light jacket. The Archives facility temperature is set to preserve our materials properly and can be a bit chilly.
